Video advertising

When selecting video inventory there are two things to consider besides the choice of a targeting strategy: the ad positioning and the size of the video player. The ad can be displayed before the video clip (pre-roll), mid-way through (mid-roll), or after (post-roll). Video players come in three variations: small (400x300p), large (more than 400x300p), and HD (1280x720p). For security reasons, the ad materials can only be hosted on our servers, and the size of the file cannot exceed 1GB. Some of the networks and exchanges we work with may have additional requirements. Our video inventory supports video length from 15 seconds or less to more than two minutes. The size ratio should be 16:9 (for example 640x360) or 4:3 (640x480).
Besides video ads, Mobius also supports in-banner video formats. The mechanism behind them is the following: the ad unit may load initially static with the video playing only when initiated by the user, or it could appear as a motion ad straight away. In both cases the audio is user initiated.

Video ads enable advertisers to build on their existing TV campaigns by engaging with new audiences. Unlike TV ads, however, the video format allows marketers to track and analyse user interaction much more accurately. You can find out the exact number of views from each source, geolocation, time of day, device, and OS. Moreover, Mobius provides a complete statistical report detailing the number of times the video was played, closed, put on mute, maximized, seen in its entirety, or only half-way through.
Besides being easy to measure, video ads serve as a bridge connecting traditional with digital media. Advertisers may rest assured that their ad message is only a click away and the success of the campaign does not hinge so heavily on the fickle memory of users. This makes video ads much easier to follow, thereby closing a significant gap between the product and its target audience. Our video ads do not require re-editing of existing TV clips and this simplifies their integration into various networks and exchanges.
